Why upgrade to a programmable thermostat?

A programmable thermostat is set to match the hours you are home and away. When no one is at home, the thermostat is set to a warmer temp, and can be programmed to kick back on a half hour before you arrive home. This clever device helps you save on your utility bill.

How often do I need to change my filter?

For best performance, you need to change your air filter at least every three months. But we recommend you change them monthly - to reduce allergens and keep your system in tip-top shape. A little extra care goes a long way!  

Is my thermostat broken?

We hear this one when clients are having trouble cooling their homes during the dog days of Summer. A/C units are designed to cool your home 20 degrees below the outside temperature. So when it's 90 degrees outdoors, it should be 70 degrees in your home. But lowering the thermostat to 65 degrees won't make the unit cool any further. It's simply not what it is designed for. Instead, close your blinds and curtains (to block out the suns scorching rays) and turn on your overhead fan. This will help to keep the cool air in and stop the extra, unwanted heat from sneaking inside.
